Former Vikings RB Adrian Peterson Jersey wanted out in 2015, wants to ‘stick it to them’ in Week 1
September 16, 2017
Saying Saints running back Adrian Peterson is excited to take on his former team, the Vikings, in Week 1 may be a bit of an understatement.
Of course I want to stick it to them, Peterson told the Minneapolis Star Tribune. I want to stick it to everyone we play. But going back to Minnesota, playing the Vikings? Yeah, I want to stick it to them.
Peterson had some great and rough moments in 10 seasons with the Vikings, ranging from a season in which he finished 9 yards short of the single-season rushing record, to one in which he missed 15 games while dealing with claims of child abuse in 2015.
Hopkins had 111 receptions for 1,521 yards in 2015 before slipping to 78 catches for 954 yards last season. Entering the fifth year of his rookie contract, Hopkins’ extension is worth $81 million with $49 million guaranteed, according to ESPN. Hopkins has 317 catches for 4,487 yards and 23 touchdowns over four NFL seasons.
Game Youth Dalvin Cook Jersey The deal for Hopkins came after the Texans extended the contracts of safety Andre Hal, tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz and fullback Jay Prosch.
Hal’s three-year extension is for three years and $15 million with $7 million guaranteed, per NFL Media, for one of Houston’s unsung starters. Fiedorowicz also got a three-year deal worth about $7 million per season, according to the Houston Chronicle. Fiedorowicz caught 54 passes for 559 yards and four touchdowns last season.
After the two Seans, we’re up to our third rookie coach in a row as the Kyle Shanahan era kicks off in San Francisco. The talent is still lacking overall, but it’s gotten some good long-term upgrades defensively (Solomon Thomas, Reuben Foster) and decent short-term upgrades offensively (Brian Hoyer, Pierre Garcon, Marquise Goodwin). The Niners will build on a feel-good offseason to show Shanahan is the answer, but the Panthers, with the defense back near elite again, Cam Newton back healthy and Christian McCaffrey back close to Stanford, are too much to handle in the end. Panthers win 24-20 but fail to cover the spread.
